Create in me a clean heart, O God,

Praying Scripture is powerful; a way of aligning our heart, mind, and will to the Lord’s and asking Him for the things He invites us to petition Him for.
Today we will walk through praying Psalm 51 for the purpose of cleansing and restoration. David wrote Psalm 51 after he’d been confronted by Nathan the prophet for committing adultery with Bathsheba and murdering her husband. As you pray through Psalm 51, keep in mind that God has put it in His word as a way for broken sinners to receive forgiveness, cleansing, and restoration. I suggest that you ask the Lord to bring any sin to your mind that He wants to heal you from before you begin.
