Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
The life of an overcomer is marked with prayer throughout the day. They pray the moment they awake (“Thank you God, for the gift of another day”). As they read God’s word in the morning they channel His words into prayer (“Create in me a clean heart, oh God…” Psalm 51:10). They pray when they’re hit with temptation, attacked with fear or bitterness, or tempted to take control of a situation that should be left in the Lord’s hands. Thanks and praise fill their day. They ask for wisdom often (James 1:5).
The overcomer’s life is a love-letter to God; “Lord I love you… please give me Your heart, Your mind. May my life be a blessing to You.”
